Intensive Moscow's Assaults Cut Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while local people in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with problems to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Moscow has escalated attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the US, Europe and the G7 - in providing air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people hurt in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Area administrators said the urban area endured intense attacks overnight. A minor was killed and three other people were injured.

The strikes come after evenings of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The entire country is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to spot.

Government officials told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with strikes already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were bracing for more assaults.
